Chuck Brown, who passed away May 16 at 75, was nothing short of a legend.

The D.C.-based Godfather of Go-Go was known for bringing a new beat to music. And he credited reading with playing a major role. He once told kids at a RIF event, “Music may have made me famous, but reading has made me successful.”
